Open Access Policy

Indian Journal of Social Sciences Research and Analytics is an open-access journal for readers and authors that promotes the reuse and self-archiving of articles in international databases, repositories, directories, and information systems. Access to its content is entirely free. The journal holds a Creative Commons 4.0 Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 License.

Self-Archiving Policy

Once the publication is completed in the journal, the author has full freedom to disseminate the PDF format provided by the publication editor for public distribution of the PDF file through any means. Likewise, it is recommended to store it in institutional repositories and disseminate it through scholarly and non-scholarly social networks.

Peer Review Process

Indian Journal of Social Sciences Research and Analytics follow a Peer Review process. Reviewers and authors remain anonymous. Each submission is reviewed by at least two independent experts based on originality, clarity, relevance, and ethics.

Ethical Standards

Indian Journal of Social Sciences Research and Analytics adheres to the Committee On Publication Ethics policy about peer reviewing.

Ethics topics to consider when publishing:

  • Authorship of the paper: Authorship should be limited to those who have made a significant contribution to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the reported study.
  • Originality and plagiarism: The authors should ensure that they have written entirely original works, and if the authors have used the work and/or words of others, that this has been appropriately cited or quoted.
  • Data access and retention: Authors may be asked to provide the raw data in connection with a paper for editorial review, and should be prepared to provide public access to such data.
  • Multiple, redundant or concurrent publication: An author should not in general publish manuscripts describing essentially the same research in more than one journal or primary publication. Indian Journal of Social Sciences Research and Analytics does not view the following uses of a work as prior publication: publication in the form of an abstract; publication as an academic thesis; publication as significantly reduced version in proceedings.
  • Acknowledgement of sources: Proper acknowledgment.
  • Disclosure and conflicts of interest: All submissions must include disclosure of all relationships that could be viewed as presenting a potential conflict of interest.
  • Fundamental errors in published works: When an author discovers a significant error or inaccuracy in his/her own published work, it is the author's obligation to promptly notify the journal editor or publisher and cooperate with the editor to retract or correct the paper.
  • Reporting standards: Authors of reports of original research should present an accurate account of the work performed as well as an objective discussion of its significance.
  • Use of or case details: Studies on students or volunteers require informed consent, which should be documented in the paper. In case of children, they have to include the parents or tutors consent.

Declaration of Interest

All authors must disclose any financial and personal relationships with other people or organizations that could inappropriately influence (bias) their work. Examples of potential conflicts of interest include employment, consultancies, stock ownership, honoraria, paid expert testimony, patent applications/registrations, and grants or other funding.

Copyright Policy

Authors who publish with this journal agree to the following terms: Authors retain copyright and grant the journal right of first publication, with the work simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution License that allows others to share the work with an acknowledgement of the work's authorship and initial publication in this journal. Authors can enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the journal's published version of the work (e.g., post it to an institutional repository or publish it in a book), with an acknowledgement of its initial publication in this journal. Authors are permitted and encouraged to post their work online (e.g., in institutional repositories or on their website) before and during the submission process, as it can lead to productive exchanges, as well as earlier and greater citation of published work.

Authorship and Contributorship Policy

Authorship should be limited to those who have made a significant contribution to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the study. All those who have made significant contributions should be listed as co-authors. The primary author(s) must ensure that all co-authors are included in the article, that they have all seen and approved the final version of the document, and that they have agreed to its submission for publication.

Intellectual Property Policy

Authors retain the moral and economic rights to their works. They only grant the Indian Journal of Social Sciences Research and Analytics a non-exclusive licence for the first publication thereof. Therefore, authors may enter into other independent and additional contractual agreements for the publication of the article, review, or any other text originally published in the Indian Journal of Social Sciences Research and Analytics or with modifications (including the title), provided they indicate that the work was first published in the Indian Journal of Social Sciences Research and Analytics.

Conflict of Interest Policy

A conflict of interest, according to the criteria of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), is defined as any personal, academic, political, economic, or commercial interests that could influence the biased evaluation of a publication proposal.

Both authors and reviewers are recommended to inform the Editorial Committee of the journal about any potential conflicts of interest that might influence the acceptance or rejection of any scientific communication. All authors must disclose any financial and personal relationships with other people or organizations that could inappropriately influence (bias) their work. Examples of potential conflicts of interest include employment, consultancies, stock ownership, honoraria, paid expert testimony, patent applications/registrations, and grants or other funding. The Editorial Committee will make the decision it deems most appropriate to avoid the presence of conflicts of interest at any stage of the editorial process.

Gender Equality Policy

Indian Journal of Social Sciences Research and Analytics affirms its commitment to gender equality through the implementation of the following practices:

1. The journal encourages the use of inclusive language in all submitted manuscripts. Authors are advised to avoid the generic use of masculine forms and are invited to consult recommended guidelines for non-sexist language to support this practice.

2. The Journal gives particular value to research that incorporates sex-based analysis, enabling the identification of potential gender differences. Priority will also be given to studies whose content, objectives, or methodologies foster a critical examination of gender relations.
